Rustic Farm & Pet Services was founded by Lacy, an enthusiastic animal advocate with a lifetime of experience caring for the animals of the River Valley. Her deep-rooted passion is backed by both professional experience and formal expertise. Before launching her own business, she spent years gaining hands-on, daily experience working in a professional grooming and boarding facility. She paired this practical industry foundation with the Animal Science program at the University of Arkansas, gaining invaluable knowledge in animal husbandry, nutrition, and advanced care practices.
Combining this strong academic and professional background with years of volunteering at a local horse rescue, Lacy envisioned a dedicated service built on trust, community, and outstanding care. What started as a lifelong love for helping both people and animals has grown into a true rustic retreat. With a firm belief that every creature deserves exceptional attention, Rustic Farm & Pet Services is committed to treating every pet as a cherished member of our own family—prioritizing their comfort, health, and individual needs above all else.

Lacy’s Local Ties: Rooted in the River Valley
My name is Lacy, and my heart has always belonged right here in the River Valley. I grew up in Alma, but my days were shaped by Van Buren schools, graduating from Van Buren High School in 2013. During my school years, I fell in love with giving back through the Partners Club, Special Olympics, and the VBHS Golf team—experiences that solidified my lifelong passion for community and service.
Today, I still proudly call Van Buren home, staying active in both the Van Buren and Fort Smith Chambers of Commerce to support the local business owners who keep our towns thriving. While I live and network across the county line, my business’s brick-and-mortar home is rooted right where I grew up in Alma.
Whether I’m volunteering with a local horse rescue, collaborating with fellow chamber members, or working hands-on at the shop, my mission remains the same: supporting both the people and the animals in our community. My greatest passion lies in educating pet owners on proper care, helping prevent common issues, and ensuring our furry family members receive the absolute best love and attention right where they are most comfortable.
